Attack on the installation of electric poles in Ashulia, 5 injured

Savar Correspondent: There was an incident of attack by the opposition centering on the installation of electricity poles in Ashulia of Savar. At least 5 people including women were injured in the incident. The injured were later rescued and admitted to Savar Upazila Health Center for treatment. The attack took place in Gorat Pakar Mata area of ​​Ashulia on Saturday morning. The injured were identified as Hanif Sarkar (28), Abu Samad (50), Alkas (45) and Moktar Sarkar (55).

They are all residents of Gorat in Ashulia. Among them, the relatives of Abu Samad and Hanif Sarkar said their condition was critical. The injured Moktar Sarkar said that a written complaint has been lodged with Ashulia Police Station mentioning the names of 10 people including Sorhab, Ana Mia, Rana Mia, Alamin, Sona Mia's son Samrat, Alamgir Hossain and others. Tanvir Ahmed, a relative of the injured Hanif, said that in the last few days, Sorahab was trying to install electricity poles on Hanif's land. If Hanif interfered in this incident, Sorhab was threatening him in various ways. On Saturday morning, Hanif on his way to the factory, Sorhab, Anna Mia, Rana and some others attacked Hanif. At that time, when Abu Samad, Alkas and Moktar Hanif were rescued, they were also beaten and hacked at random with local weapons.

The injured were rescued with the help of locals and admitted to Savar Upazila Health Complex for treatment. They are currently undergoing treatment. They tried to contact the respondent to find out the truth of the incident but they were not found. Sub-Inspector (SI) of Ashulia Police Station Mohammad Iqbal Hossain said both the parties had lodged counter-allegations in the Gorat area. He also said that legal action will be taken after investigating the incident. Note: There are allegations against the forces of Anna Mia, Rana Mia and Alamgir for various misdeeds including extortion, snatching, eve-teasing, drug dealing and rape. There are also multiple cases against them in the police station including rape.
