News Desk: Panic has spread around the world after the identification of a new type of corona. Scientists in the country have expressed concern that this new feature of coronavirus is also present in Bangladesh. According to the Bangladesh Council of Science and Industry (BCSIR), BCSIR sequenced the genomes of five samples of coronavirus in early November. It bears a resemblance to a mutation found in a new UK coronavirus.

BCSIR has already started working on this. The company is trying to find out the identity and address of the carriers of the virus. The BCSIR contacted the National Institute of Laboratory Medicine Referral Center on Wednesday (December 23) afternoon to collect samples of the virus. In this regard, the chief scientific officer of the Department of Biological Research, BCSIR. Selim Khan said, ‘A new type of coronavirus mutation was found in the country in early November.

This new mutation comes to our notice while sequencing the genomes of five samples. Internationally, where genome sequencing data is submitted, we have seen similar mutations in Russia and Peru. However, the mutations were observed in only one individual sample in each of the two countries. "We've had such mutations in England since December 13," he said. A mutation in a new feature coronavirus found in the UK has occurred in the spike protein, called the P-61H mutation.

The mutation found in Bangladesh is P-71-R. Selim Khan said that the position of mutation in UK and Bangladesh is one. That is the matter of fear. For this reason, the characteristics of the virus in the UK are now being matched with our genome sequence. He also hoped that the matter would be clarified in a few days. Selim Khan said that the genome sequencing of the five samples of the virus was done, two of them had Dhaka North written in the address box and three had only Dhaka written.

They collected samples of the viruses from the government agency National Institute of Laboratory Medicine Referral Center. A specific code number is taken during sample collection. The code number has been informed to the concerned of the National Referral Center. They were asked to provide the names, addresses and phone numbers of the five. Hopefully, it will be possible to find the samplers in two days. Panic spread across Europe after a new type of corona was recently identified across the UK.

In this situation, the European Union decided to cut off communication with Britain from last Sunday (December 20). This new type of covid virus (VUI 202012/01) can change form from time to time, giving birth to a new virus. In addition, the new virus is 80 percent contagious. The EU has already confirmed that the virus has infected several other countries, including Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium. Therefore, all air and ground communication with the United Kingdom has been stopped.

The country's government has also announced the closure of the country's border with France, especially in the transportation of goods. Although no one in Germany has yet been infected with the new virus, ordinary people are terrified. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has advised the world to be aware of the new virus without fear.
