An unidentified youth died after being cut by a train in Chuadanga

Chuadanga Correspondent: An unidentified youth was killed when a train derailed near the railway gate of Bara Dudhpatila village in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga. The accident happened around 10 am on Monday (December 21). He was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital around 11:30 am and was pronounced dead by the on-duty doctor of the emergency department.

According to eyewitness sources, in the morning, the locals saw the left leg of an unidentified youth lying detached near Dudhpatila railway gate. He was later rescued and taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where he died shortly after. Ekramul, a local youth, said his leg was severed when he was hit by a train leaving Khulna in the morning. His identity was not found.

The local van driver said the train cut off in the morning and fell a short distance from the big milky railway gate. His left leg was amputated. I was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital in my van. However, I do not know on which train the incident took place. Chuadanga Sadar Hospital emergency department doctor on duty. Mahabubur Rahman said his left leg was amputated. He died before being taken to hospital due to excessive bleeding.

Officer-in-charge of Puradah Railway Police Station Jasim Uddin said an unidentified youth died after being hit by a train near Bara Dudhpatila railway gate in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district. The body will be buried according to the government rules after the autopsy.
