Manchester City defeated United 3-1

Sports Desk:  Manchester City beat Manchester United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in the English Premier League. Phil Foden scored a pair of goals in Sunday's match. The other goal came from Holland's feet.    

Ten Hag played Marcus Rashford as the main striker against City with United striker Hollund out injured. United got the result at the beginning of the match. Rashford put the team ahead by scoring six minutes into the match.  

Manchester United could not return to the rhythm later. The most successful team in the Premier League could not attack for the rest of the match.  

Meanwhile, City cornered United by attacking one after another. However, the citizens did not see a goal before halftime. United went into the break with a one-goal lead. City turned the game around after the break. City knocked United out of the match by scoring three goals in the remaining time.

Originally, Foden equalized for City in the 56th minute of the match. This Englishman also scored the second goal of the match. In the 80th minute of the game, Foden scored from Alvarez's pass to give City the lead for the first time in the match. Holland then scored the third goal for City in extra time. 

City moved closer to Liverpool in the league title race after winning the Manchester derby. Citizens are second with 62 points in 27 matches. And Liverpool is at the top of the table with 63 points in the equal match. On the other hand, Arsenal is third with 58 points in 26 matches. United is sixth in the table with 44 points in 27 matches.
