NCD Corner will play a positive role in the treatment of non-communicable diseases: Bogra Civil Surgeon

Bogra Representative: Bogra District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Shafiul Azam said that the current government has taken multifaceted groundbreaking steps to deliver free healthcare to people's doorsteps, including the establishment of NCD corner in an upazila health complex. This corner will play a positive role in the treatment of non-communicable diseases. From where common people will be provided services for high blood pressure, diabetes, gynecology and medicine departments along with cancer and kidney patients through specialized doctors. Not only this, but also for non-communal diseases, the patients will get various examination facilities and free medicines in this corner which will gradually be introduced in all upazila health complexes of the district. 

After inaugurating the NCD Corner at Bogra Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex on Tuesday afternoon, the District Civil Surgeon said the above words in the speech of the chief guest. Under the management of Dupchanchia Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Shamsunnahar, Bogra Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Samir Hossain Mishu, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Shahnaz Parveen, Junior Consultant (Gynaecologist) Dr. Nafisa Khatun Nafchi, Junior Consultant were also present. (Medicine) Nilufa Yasmin and other doctors.

Dupchanchia Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Shamsunnahar said that due to good medical services in their health complex, common people of some upazilas come to get treatment regularly. The health complex has a standard operation theater with all diagnostic facilities. He said this NCD corner will play a positive role in the treatment of non-communicable diseases. He thanked the Prime Minister and the concerned officials of the Ministry of Health for creating this creative initiative.
