Sheikh Hasina came to power with people's verdict: Matia Chowdhury

Md Imran Mahmud, Jamalpur:  Bangladesh Awami League presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury MP said that the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the current government came to power not through murder, bad politics, but the verdict of the people of the country and BNP came to power through the back door in the past days. 

He also said that the current government is providing 22 types of medicines free of cost through community clinics to ensure health services to the people at the grass root level. In the same event, Dhaka Division Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam MP addressed BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and said that BNP gathered the people of eight and ten districts and thinks they have come to power. Bangladesh Awami Jubo League is enough to resist them. 

They said these things at the tri-annual conference of Sadar Upazila Awami League at Sinhjani Bahumukhi High School ground in Jamalpur city on Saturday (12 November) afternoon. 

President of Sadar Upazila Awami League Dr. MA Mannan Khan spoke as a special guest, organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and former state minister Alhaj Mirza Azam MP, organizing secretary Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, cultural secretary Babu Asim Kumar Ukil, member Marufa Akhtar Popi, member vice president Raymond Arang, Sadar Constituency Member of Parliament Engineer Mozaffar Hossain, Mayor of Jamalpur Municipality and Awami League General Secretary Alhaj Mohammad Chanwar Hossain Chanu etc. 

District Awami League President and District Council Chairman Alhaj Advocate Muhammad Baki Billah inaugurated the tri-annual conference and General Secretary of District Awami League Alhaj Farooq Ahmed Chowdhury delivered the keynote speech.
