They alleged that Kazi Abdus Sobhan was fired from the Bangladesh Army for various misdeeds. Even after his dismissal, he was involved in various misdeeds. In 1996, he forged the signature of the Prime Minister and unloaded foreign goods worth hundreds of crores of rupees from Chittagong port duty free. He was later jailed for one year for signature forgery. There are various allegations in his name including counterfeit dollar business, embezzlement in the name of giving job, fraud in the name of MLM business. He recently became the convener of the District Fishermen's League in exchange for money. He is trying to create chaos in the well-organized party in the name of forming union and upazila committees.
