Two killed in truck-autorickshaw collision in Mymensingh

News Desk: Two passengers of a CNG-powered autorickshaw were killed in a head-on collision with a sand-laden truck at Rampur on the Trishal-Balipara road in Mymensingh. At this time 4 more people were injured. The accident took place on Wednesday (November 10) at 9:15 am. The deceased were identified as Sattar, son of Abdul Hekim of Rampur village and Kalimuddin of Baupur village.

Witnesses said a CNG-powered autorickshaw carrying passengers from Trishal Upazila Sadar collided head-on with a truck laden with sand coming from the opposite direction on its way to Balipara. Autorickshaw drivers Sattar and Kalimuddin died on the spot. Meanwhile, with the help of locals, fire service personnel rescued the victims. The injured were later shifted to Trishal Upazila Health Complex.

Riazuddin, Trishal station officer of the fire service, said the bodies of the victims were taken to the police station after the rescue operation.
