Temperature likely to rise further tomorrow: Meteorological Department

News desk: The sky was cloudy in the capital from this morning. Light rain has also occurred at some places. Apart from this, the weather office has said that there are cloudy skies in some other parts of the country.

There has been a lot of rain in Sylhet. However, the weather office has said that the temperature is unlikely to drop today. Temperatures may rise further tomorrow. However, the Meteorological Office has said that there may be rain in different parts of the country next Sunday. They reported slight rain in the capital this afternoon.

From the beginning of this April, mild to moderate heat waves started in different parts of the country. Among them, the Meteorological Office issued a 'heat alert' or heatwave warning in four parts of the country, including Dhaka, for the next 72 hours on Wednesday. Yesterday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Rajshahi at 39.2 degrees Celsius. This is the highest temperature so far this month.

The Meteorological Department said in the weather forecast for the next 24 hours at 9 am today - Mild to moderate heat wave is prevailing in Rajshahi division including Tangail, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Rangamati districts. It will continue.

According to the weather report, high water vapor in the air may cause discomfort.

Meteorologist Md. Umar Farooq said, this water vapor comes mainly from the Bay of Bengal. This results in a greater sensation of warmth, regardless of the temperature. And as a result, sweat is generated more. People are uncomfortable.

Meteorologist Manowar Hossain said today that the capital's sky is cloudy. However, there is less chance of rain before afternoon. And even if it rains, it won't be too much. Temperatures may rise further tomorrow. However, there is a possibility of rain in different parts of the country on Sunday.

Sources of Meteorological Department said that Sylhet received the highest rainfall of 78 mm in the last 24 hours. The Meteorological Office has announced the possibility of rain in a few places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions today.
