News Desk: 7 people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in the middle of the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Faridpur. Besides, six more passengers of the microbus were injured. The accident took place in the middle of the Dhaka-Khulna highway around 8 am on Sunday (March 21).
Meanwhile, two students were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a microbus on Bhanga Biswaroad in the district. According to the police, a Dhaka-bound microbus collided head-on with a Khulna-bound truck in the morning. Two people, including a woman, died on the spot. Besides, 10 more passengers of the microbus were injured. They were rescued and admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where four people, including a child, died.
Karimpur Highway Police Outpost SI Abul Khair said arrangements have been made to recover the body and bring it to Karim Highway Police Outpost. However, the identity of the casualties has not been known yet, he said. Meanwhile, two students were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a microbus at Bhanga Biswaroad in Faridpur. Another was injured at the time. The accident took place on the broken world road in the morning.
The deceased was identified as Shakil Khan, 22, son of Shafiqul Khan. He is a BBA 3rd year student of Government Titumir College, Dhaka. The identities of the other killed and injured have not been ascertained yet. Bhanga Highway Police said that on Sunday morning, Shakil took two of his friends on a motorcycle and left Shivchar for Bhanga.
When they reached Biswaroad, the microbus collided head-on with their motorcycle. Two students on a motorcycle died on the spot. Another injured person was rescued and admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
