Trawler sinks in Padma with 350 sacks of potatoes at Tongibari in Munshiganj

News Desk: A trawler with 350 sacks of potatoes sank at Tongibari in Munshiganj. The trawler sank after colliding with a rock at the Hasail River protection dam around 5 am on Wednesday (March 18).

Witnesses said Yusuf Matbar, a farmer from Tatikandi village in Naopara union of Shariatpur district, came to Hasail trawler wharf with 350 sacks of seed potatoes to store in a cold store on Tuesday afternoon. The trawler collided with a rock in the river protection dam this morning while being taken elsewhere from the wharf.

After a while, the trawler loaded with potatoes sank in the river. In this regard, the owner of the potato, Yusuf Madbar, said that the trawler was taken in the morning to send the potatoes to the store.

At that time, the trawler sank after colliding with the block given for the dam below the river. Now I am trying to lift potatoes and trawlers through local divers.
