News Desk: 10-year-old child Chandni was sent to Dhaka as a housemaid. But 9 months later, on Wednesday (March 10), he returned to Kushtia with a bruise on his body. Chandni was placed in a hospital bed that afternoon with torture wounds all over her body. Chandni is the daughter of impoverished Tamiz Uddin Toza of Banagram Paschimpara in Khoksa Upazila.

According to the child's family sources, about 9 months ago, Neshar Khatun, daughter of Masuduzzaman Rantu of the same village, took Chandni with her to work at her home in Dhaka on the condition of a monthly salary of Tk 1,000 and food. But a few days after they were taken to Dhaka, they completely lost contact with Chandni's family. Chandni, who was lying in a hospital bed in agony, told reporters that the housewife started torturing her four days after she was taken to Dhaka. He had to clean the dishes, clean the house, and do all the housework.

He was tortured verbally if anything. Iron rods were heated and scorched. After being beaten at night, he would have tied his hands and feet with a scarf and left them on the floor. Chandni's father Tamizuddin Toja said they took Chandni to Dhaka by force. Although she was supposed to pay her monthly salary, she did not pay a single penny. The last 9 months did not allow them to communicate with Chandni.

Finally, under the pressure of the villagers, the canopy was returned to them on Wednesday. Shamim Mahmud, the medical officer on duty at Khoksa Upazila Hospital, said the girl already had signs of torture in various parts of her body. He has also become very weak physically due to continuous torture. In this regard, housewife Nesha's father Masuduzzaman Rantu claimed that the child was not tortured.

These are rural conspiracies against them. The baby's body was already bruised. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khoksa Police Station Kamruzzaman Talukder confirmed the incident and said the incident took place in Dhaka. The child has been admitted to the hospital. He said legal action would be taken if a written complaint was received in this regard. Meanwhile, after the incident, a group in the area has allegedly come up with a solution.
