Pregnant daughter-in-law dies in fire set by drunken father-in-law in Manikganj

News Desk: A pregnant housewife named Liba Khatun (27) died in a fire in the Alokdia Char area of ​​Shibalaya Upazila of Manikganj. The incident took place on Thursday (March 11) morning. Billah Hossain was injured in the incident. He has been sent to Pabna for treatment. Liber's husband Soleiman works for a company in Rajshahi.

Liber has two daughters and a son. Police and local sources said, said Shibalaya Alokadia Char area.

Julhas set fire to their tin house in a drunken state early Thursday morning. His 10-month-pregnant daughter-in-law Liba Khatun died inside the house. Billah Hossain, the son-in-law of Julhas' daughter, was seriously injured. The injured Billal has been sent to nearby Pabna for treatment. Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibalaya Police Station Firoz Kabir said police were sent to the spot after receiving the news.

The body of the deceased has been sent to Manikganj District Sadar Hospital for autopsy. The accused Julhas has been absconding since the incident. However, necessary steps will be taken after investigating the matter.
