Two people, including a woman, were massacred during an autorickshaw hijacking in Narsingdi

News Desk: Police have arrested two snatchers, including a woman while chopping a driver and snatching a battery-powered autorickshaw in Narsingdi. The incident took place on Wednesday (March 10) night at Bridge No. 5 in Shilmandi Union of Sadar Upazila.

The injured Sagir Mia is the son of Mohammad Zakaria of the Khilgaon area of ​​Narsingdi. The arrested snatchers are- Md. Yusuf Miah's son from Algi area of ​​Madhabadi. Al Amin (22) and Hamida Akhter (22), daughter of Saiful Islam of Balusair area.

According to police, the hijackers were renting Sagir Mia's autorickshaw from Narsingdi to Fultala in Madhabadi. When the driver of the autorickshaw was asked to stop at bridge area No. 5 on the Narsingdi-Madanganj (former railway line) road, the snatchers stabbed Sagir with his left hand and injured him. At that time, some people were coming through Narsingdi on a motorcycle when they saw the autorickshaw driver in a bloody condition and rescued him.

Later they chased the kidnappers. When the hijackers reached the new bus stand area of ​​Narsingdi, they took the locals in handcuffs along with the autorickshaw. At that time, the agitated crowd washed the kidnappers and handed over the two to the police.

At that time 2 snatchers were arrested but the other 2 members escaped. Narsingdi Sadar Hospital emergency department doctor in charge. Sanjay Kumar Saha said the autorickshaw driver had injuries on his left hand. He has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment with first aid.

Narsingdi Sadar police inspector (investigation) said. Ataur Rahman said that while hijacking an autorickshaw in the passenger compartment, the hijackers stabbed the driver Sagir in the left hand and injured him. After receiving the news, the driver was rescued in a bloody condition and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with first aid at Sadar Hospital in Narsingdi. A chapati was seized in a bloody state with them. Police are continuing their operation to arrest the rest.
