In Sunamganj, 15 people were injured when a bus fell into a ditch

Sunamganj Correspondent: At least 15 people were injured when a bus lost control and fell into a ditch in South Sunamganj Upazila of Sunamganj. The names of the three injured were immediately identified but the rest rushed to Sylhet, Sunamganj, and Kaitak hospitals for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Shahera Khatun (40), Minara Khatun (35), and Shahidul Islam (42) of Rajapur in Bishwambharpur Upazila. The incident took place at 8 am on Wednesday (March 10) at Dabur Point near Pagla Bazar. According to local and police sources, a non-stop passenger bus (Sylhet-J-11-0390) on its way to Sylhet from Sunamganj reached Dabur Point at around 8 am when it came to pass a freight truck coming from Sylhet.

The bus lost control and fell into a ditch. At least 15 passengers were injured in the incident. The injured were rushed to Sunamganj, Sylhet and Kaitak hospitals for treatment. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dakshin Sunamganj Police Station Kazi Moktadir Hossain said, "After receiving the news, our people went to the spot and found 3/4 injured people." Sent them to the hospital. Locals told us that several more people were injured. We didn't get them.
