News Desk: Shafiqul Islam, a student of Barisal University, was eating vegetable burgers from a sidewalk shop at Bibi Pukurpara in Barisal city. Suddenly sensing something hard in his mouth, he thought that the vegetable burger had been mistakenly served with chicken or beef. It didn't take long for that student to break that mistake.

Take out some part of the burger from the mouth and see the whole blade! Monir, the shopkeeper, apologized to the student for the incident on Monday night.

But those who came to the pond expressed their anger. They claim that due to lack of proper monitoring, food is being prepared on the sidewalks through irregularities and uncleanliness. Although the food has been sold openly for a long time in an unhealthy environment, it is being eaten at risk due to a lack of proper monitoring by the Consumer Rights Protection Department and the City Corporation. The victim Shafiqul Islam said I work part-time in an organization.

Vegetable burgers were served at the office's evening breakfast, which was brought from Monir's shop in Bibi's Pukurpar. When I went to eat that burger, I sensed the position of something hard in my mouth and took out the blade. There was no fatal accident as the blade was bitten by a tooth.

Monir, a burger seller, said no seller wants to feed the buyer poor quality food. It’s true that the blade was found in my store’s burgers, which was done unconsciously. It looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring. I apologize for this. Shah Swaib Miah, assistant director of the National Consumer Rights Protection Department, said, "We often carry out activities to warn the food vendors in Bibi's pond."

The campaign was conducted in addition to consumer complaints. Regular monitoring is going on. Rabiul Islam, a veterinary officer of the city corporation, said the number of food shops on the sidewalk has increased recently. There are educated and uneducated among the shopkeepers. The mobile court campaign has not yet begun because of Corona. The operation will start once the small traders recover from the loss of Corona.
