Satkhira Correspondent: Another floating body has been recovered from the Kopotaksh river at Kurikahunia in Pratapnagar of Asashuni. On Tuesday evening (March 9), the employees of the bulkhead saw the body floating next to a sand-filled bulkhead tied at Garuimahal Ghat. On 18 February, 3 dam repair workers went missing in a boat sinking in Kurikahuniya. The bodies of two people were later found but no trace of another was found. According to the locals, the body of Abdul Aziz of Puijala village in Shriula Union is the third missing person.
As the body was in the water, it was swollen and there was a strong stench. Asashuni UNO Nazmul Hussain and OC Golam Kabir also said that according to the information received, the body belonged to the missing worker. In the meantime, they have taken initiative to confirm the identity of the family members. The UNO also said that government assistance would be provided to the family. Earlier, divers of the fire service rescued the bodies of missing workers Babar Ali and Shafiqul Islam and floating in the Kopotaksh river.
