News Desk: The first hailstorm of the year has occurred in Netrokona. On Tuesday (March 9) morning hailstorm occurred in different areas of Kalmakanda and Khaliajuri Upazilas including the municipal town.

Although some vegetables including mango buds were damaged due to the hailstorm, the Boro crop was not severely damaged, said Netrokona Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension, agriculturist Md. Habibur Rahman. He told Time News that mango buds have fallen in this hailstorm.

However, the crop was not damaged. There was no problem as the milk time of the crop has passed. In addition, vegetables are almost the last time.
