News Desk: Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Language Martyr Ahmad Rafique.
In a condolence message issued on Friday (3 October), the Vice-Chancellor said that Ahmad Rafique had played an extraordinary role in the great Language Movement.
His contribution to the Language Movement will be remembered by the nation with everlasting respect. He authored over a hundred works, including writings on the history of the Language Movement, poems, and essays. These works will serve as an inspiration for the younger generation.
The Vice-Chancellor prayed for the departed soul and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
It is noted that Language Martyr Ahmad Rafique passed away on Thursday night while undergoing treatment at BIRDEM Hospital in Dhaka (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un).
