Trading in the capital market continues amid the rise and fall of the index. Economy

Economy Desk:  On Sunday (March 2), the first working day of the week, trading is underway on the country's main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), and the other market, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), with the indices rising and falling.  

Half an hour after the start of trading on the day, i.e. at 10:30 am, the DSE's general index DSEX rose 14 points from the previous day to stand at 5,261 points. The DSE's Shariah index and DSE-30 index rose 4 points to 1,171 and 1,909 points respectively. During this period, shares and mutual fund units worth Tk 68.78 crore were traded.

Of the companies traded at this time on Sunday, the prices of 208 companies increased, 64 decreased, and 67 remained unchanged.

The top 10 companies traded as of 10:30 am today were Orion Infusion, Fortune Su, HR Textile, Paper Processing, Style Craft, Khan Brothers, Sonali Paper, Sonargaon Textile, Sea Pearl and Grameenphone.

Earlier, the DSEX rose 6 points in the first 5 minutes of trading on Sunday. At 10:10 am, the index rose another 4 points from its previous position. After that, the index's momentum was seen to be upward. 20 minutes after the start of trading, i.e. at 10:20 am, the index rose 14 points from the previous day to stand at 5,261 points.

On the other hand, half an hour after the start of trading, i.e. at 10:30 am, the CASPI index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange fell by 14 points to stand at 14,618 points. After that, the index's momentum was seen to be upward.

Shares and mutual fund units worth Tk 1.8 million were traded on the CSE till 10:30 am today. During this period, the prices of 21 companies increased, 19 decreased and the share prices of 3 companies remained unchanged.
