Corona vaccination started today all over the country including the capital

News Desk: Corona vaccination program is starting simultaneously from today (February 8) across the country including the capital. As of noon on Saturday (February 8), 327,000 people have registered to take the vaccine through the security app.

The concerned department has already completed the overall preparations to make the program a success. Health Minister Zahid Malek will inaugurate the vaccination program at Sheikh Russell National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital at 10 am today. Then he will vaccinate himself.

Besides, the Chief Justice, Home Minister, Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office and Cabinet Secretary will be vaccinated at different hospitals in the capital at different times of the day. The first pilot immunization program in the country started on 27 January.

Runu Veronica Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital, received the first vaccination on the same day. Hundreds of people were vaccinated in the first phase. The government is going to start the 'mass vaccination' program from today. A total of 1,005 government hospitals, maternity homes and clinics will be vaccinated, including 50 in the two city corporations of the capital Dhaka and 955 at the divisional, district and upazila levels.

2,400 teams across the country, including 204 teams in the capital Dhaka, will work for vaccination. Each team will have six members, including two health workers and four volunteers. The target of each team is to vaccinate 150 people daily. Vaccination will be given from 8 am to 2.30 pm.

At a press conference held at the Department of Health on Saturday afternoon, it was said that the Department of Health's preparation for corona vaccination is of 'A' standard. As of noon on Saturday, 3 lakh 26 thousand people have registered for vaccination.

The first step is to get: In the first step, people in 15 categories will get priority in getting vaccinated. Among them are public and private doctors, nurses and health workers, people above 55 years of age, members of law enforcement, members of the armed forces, judiciary, ministries, secretariat, district administration, top officials of upazila administration, media workers, elected representatives, education workers. , Bank-insurance workers, heroic freedom fighters, government and autonomous electricity-water-gas and firefighters, NGO workers, burial and funeral workers, city corporations and other risky people in the municipality.

Vaccination is requested in a short time after completion of registration. This arrangement will only apply to February 8. Later important people including ministers, state ministers, deputy ministers and secretaries will be able to get vaccinated at the hospital of their choice.
