News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said, "Our country is dependent on agriculture. Our economy is dependent on agriculture. We are giving importance to this agriculture. We have given machinery to the farmers for mechanization of agriculture. 70,000 equipments have been given to the farmers. I also paid a huge amount of money. When I have given what I need, I will give what I need for agriculture and farmers.

' He added, ‘There is no alternative to inventing new technologies and varieties to increase agricultural production. That is why research is more important. So we want to motivate researchers. I urge the agronomists to suggest ways to provide incentives. ' The Prime Minister was speaking at the launch of '100 Agricultural Technology Atlas' published by Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council on Thursday (February 4).

The Prime Minister joined the function organized at Bangabandhu International Conference Center through video conference from Ganobhaban. "We have to maintain our market by producing, processing and marketing new agricultural products," he said.

It has to be exported to meet the demand of the country. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on discovering and cultivating more profitable products at low cost. That is why research is more important. I would like to encourage scientists to increase research. That's why I looked for a way, I didn't find it. You will give advice in this regard. ' The Prime Minister said, "Agriculture is important for food security.

Thank you for your (scientific) innovation. Atlas has published 100 important varieties of your innovation, a good initiative. It will be useful for the future. Others will benefit. ' Highlighting the circular on agricultural development of her government at the time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "The development in today's agriculture has been started by the father of the nation. He is the one who sowed the seeds.

Even after we came to power in 1996, we have continued that work. He is still working. We have enacted various laws, allocated funds, laboratories and agricultural universities for the development of agriculture.

' The Father of the Nation said, ‘My soil is so fertile that when seeds are planted there, there are trees and fruits. Why don't the people of this place eat? I also said that in any area which fruit is good, it needs a mapping plan. Here one fruit can be good in one area at low cost. Some products that will be more profitable at a lower cost need to be researched.

A good research plan needs to be done considering the soil fertility, water supply, weather and climatic environment of the area concerned. He added, ‘We have helped different classes of people in Corona, including small traders. In this case, I am giving importance to agriculture.

So that the farmers are not harmed in this corona, we have also made arrangements to cut the paddy and take it home with the instructions of the party workers. Our Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League, Swechchhasebak League have stood by the farmers all over the country.
