Sports Desk: Coronavirus vaccine is coming to Bangladesh in the last week of January. Although not everyone will get this vaccine in the first place. The vaccination process will continue on a priority basis as per the need. The priority list includes freedom fighters, health workers, media workers, various ministries, police department and a few other areas.

There are no cricketers at the moment. However, efforts are being made to bring cricketers on the priority list, said Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB's media committee. The chairman of the media committee of the BCB spoke on various issues during the announcement ceremony of the official broadcaster channel at a press conference in the ballroom of The Westin Hotel in the capital on Sunday.

Among these is the issue of priority in vaccination of cricketers. Jalal Yunus said, ‘Of course it (domestic cricket) is our priority. Our Honorable President (BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon) has said that he will do his best to talk to the government. Even our Hon'ble Sports Minister (Md. Zahid Ahsan Russell) has said that the players will be given priority over the vaccine.

' The chairman of the BCB's media committee said efforts were being made to include cricketers in the vaccination program as soon as possible so that domestic cricket could be played on the field as soon as possible. Since footballers are not getting priority, why only cricketers? Jalal Yunus argues, ‘You see, football is a very short term game. It takes less time on the field and also in the dressing room.

In cricket it takes about eight hours. It takes four hours for T20. It takes more than eight hours for one. It is a matter of four days to catch the game of the long version. There are so many issues I can't compare to football. We have to be very careful. " Which vaccine will cricketers get? The chairman of the media committee of the BCB could not say anything in detail about that.

"I'm not a doctor," he said. I can't even talk about the vaccine, who will use which one. It's not my business. Now whatever approval comes from the government, we will go for it. '
