News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 30 more people have died due to coronavirus. Among them 23 are men and seven are women. All died at the hospital. With this, the death toll in this epidemic in the country increased to 6,426 people. Saturday (December 26) in the afternoon, the Additional Director General of the Department of Health, Professor.

This information was given in a press release signed by Nasima Sultana. In the last 24 hours, 9,061 samples were collected and 16,912 samples were tested in 163 laboratories. The total number of sample tests stood at 31 lakh 59 thousand 280. During this period, 84 more new cases of coronavirus have been identified. The total number of identified patients in the country is 5 lakh 8 thousand 99 people.

Meanwhile, 1,065 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in the last 24 hours at various hospitals and homes across the country, including the capital. So far, a total of 4 lakh 50 thousand 47 people have recovered. In the last 24 hours, the sample test rate is 7.41 percent. So far, the detection rate is 18.06 per cent considering the sample test, the recovery rate is 6.8 per cent considering the identified test and the mortality rate is 1.48 per cent considering the identified test.

The age analysis of the dead shows that out of 30 people who died in the last 24 hours, forty-four, forty-five and twenty-six were killed. Among the dead are 20 in Dhaka, seven in Chittagong, one in Khulna, one in Rangpur and one in Mymensingh.

On March 7 this year, the first coronavirus patient was identified in the country. The first corona patient died on March 17, 10 days later. The total death toll till December 28 was 6,426. Of these, 5,859 are males (6.17 percent) and 1,069 are females (23.62 percent).
