Bangabandhu T20 Cup: Mashrafe is getting as much money

Sports Desk: In the Bangabandhu T20 Cup, it has been decided through lottery which team Mashrafe bin Mortaza will play. The former national team captain will play for Jamcon Khulna in the current tournament. As a result, Shakib Al Hasan-Mahmudullah will play with Riyadh.

Khulna has included Mashrafe as an 'A' grade category player. The salary of 'A' grade cricketers has been fixed at Tk 15 lakh in the current edition. Mashrafe will be paid as match fee in proportion to the number of matches he will play. Mashrafe was not in the draft of Bangabandhu T20 Cup due to injury. He started practicing a few days ago after recovering from injury. Then on Sunday he gave a compulsory fitness test. He scored 10.8 in this test.

After Mashrafe passed the test on Sunday morning, his play in the current tournament was confirmed. However, there is a complication with which team Narail Express will play. Earlier, during the draft of Bangabandhu T20 Cup, BCB had said that if Mashrafe is fit, he will be able to play in the team that wants to take him. Khulna has drawn Mashrafe in the team by lottery. Samples of Mashrafe's Covid test were collected on Sunday. The negative is that he will enter the biological safety zone on Monday.
