News Desk: The Department of Health will take disciplinary action against the employees of the health department who do not take part in the measles-rubella vaccination campaign.

The six-week campaign will start on December 12. Last Thursday (December 3), the director of the Department of Health (Administration) said. A circular signed by Sheikh Mohammad Hasan Imam has been issued in this regard. It is said that recently, according to various sources, health assistants, assistant health inspectors, health inspectors and EPI technicians working in the field at the upazila level under the health department are coming up with various programs including strike to realize their various demands. They have even decided not to participate in a national program like Hum-Rubella.

According to the circular, the measles-rubella campaign is a nationally celebrated kikadan program. The successful implementation of this program is related to the health protection of the future children of the country. Bangladesh's immunization program is hailed as one of the most successful in the world. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been awarded the 'Vaccine Hero' award. Some health assistants, assistant health inspectors and health inspectors irresponsible programs are unwelcome, unwelcome and against the rules of employment.

As a result, the image of the health department is being tarnished at home and abroad. The measles-rubella campaign will continue from December 12. If he tries to disrupt the activities during the campaign, action will be taken against him in accordance with the Civil Servants Act 2018 and the Public Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018. The concerned Director (Health), Civil Surgeon and the Upazila Health and Family Department should be informed against those who engage in activities that interfere with their activities.
