Narayanganj Representative: National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection has conducted an operation in Narayanganj. Four companies have been fined in the raid. The operation was conducted in Khanpur, Kalibazar Charargop and Nitaiganj areas of the city on Wednesday (March 20) from noon to afternoon.

At this time, Medi Aid Diagnostic Center in Khanpur, Al Hera General Hospital, M/s Ajmeri Bhandar Fruit Store in Kalirbazar and Arshibad Oil Mill in Nitaiganj were fined Tk 1 lakh 40 thousand. The campaign was led by Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate Narayanganj office Md. Selimuzzaman. Market Officer Sumon Khandkar and Cab Joint Secretary Billal Hossain Robin were present.

Selimuzzaman said, 50 thousand taka to Medi Aid Diagnostic Center under section 39 and 51 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act for the crime of having expired re-agent and service price list, 40 thousand taka to Al Hera General Hospital under section 40 of the crime of taking extra money from the patient, watermelon price list Ajmeri Bhandar Fruit Market has been fined 30,000 TK for the crime of non-display under section 38, and Arshibad Oil Mill has been fined 20,000 rupees under section 45 for the crime of not properly delivering the promised product in return for the price paid.

Apart from this, farmers are warned not to sell watermelons at high prices. Apart from warning the dubbing traders in Kalibazar Charagope, every fruit vendor has been directed to display the daily price list in a visible place. He said that this campaign will continue throughout the month of Ramadan.
