Australia whitewashed the Kiwis in the three-match series

Sports Desk:  Rain reduced the length of the match. Instead of a 20-over match, ten overs were played on the field. After that, New Zealand could not avoid a whitewash in the three-match series. The hosts New Zealand lost by 27 runs to Australia in the third T20 due to rain.

The innings ended after Australia scored 118 for 4 in 10.4 overs in Auckland in several spells of rain. The Kiwis' target was 126 in 10 overs due to rain. But New Zealand can score 98 runs by losing 3 wickets. Glenn Phillips' top 40 from 24 balls saw the hosts lose two quick wickets before the run pressure increased. That they could not handle. Mark Chapman was unbeaten on 17 runs from 15 balls with Phillips.

Spencer Johnson was the best bowler for Australia with 1 wicket for 10 runs. Moreover, Mathew Short and Adam Zampao took one each. 

The highest 33 runs came from the bat of Australian opener Travis Head who came down to bat at the beginning. Smith did not live up to expectations even though he got into the opening. Out for 4 runs. Matthew Short was the highest climber. He scored 27 runs off 11 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. J Clarkson was the best bowler for the Kiwis with 1 wicket for 8 runs. Adam Milne, Ben Sears and Mitchell Santner took one each.
