Sports Desk:  Comilla Victorians pacer Mostafizur Rahman was hit on the head by a ball during practice at the net. This pacer was taken to Imperial Hospital in Chittagong in bloody condition. CT scan revealed no internal injuries. But the head is torn and needs to be stitched.

Earlier, Comilla Victorians cricketers were practicing in Sagarika ahead of tomorrow's match. Mostafiz was playing there in practice. After one delivery, Mostafizur Rahman was hit on the head by a shot by Liton Das while going back for another delivery. Blood is also seen coming out of the head after being hit by the ball.

At that time, Mustafiz fell on the ground. After first aid, he was taken by ambulance to Apollo Imperial Hospital. BCB chief doctor Debashish Chowdhury told Samakal, 'Mustafiz's CT scan is underway at Apollo Imperial Hospital in Chittagong. It is normal. The doctor who is in the field also saw the preliminary examination. Mustafiz's head was cut off. But not serious. Doctors at Imperial's emergency department also checked, and found nothing too bad. A CT scan report will give a better understanding.'

In a press release after the Imperial Hospital's examination, the team's physio Zahidul Islam said, 'After the injury, Mustafiz's head was bandaged to stop the bleeding immediately. Later he was rushed to the Imperial Hospital for a CT scan. After CT scan we are satisfied that it is only external injury. No internal blood vessels. He is currently under the close supervision of Comilla Victorians' physio team. Besides, stitches have been applied to his wound.'

Mustafiz has played 9 matches in this year's BPL so far. His victim was 11 wickets. 3 wickets with 32 runs was the best bowling of Mustafiz in this year's BPL.
