Stolen auto recovered in Kurigram, main owner of syndicate arrested

Md Hasan, Kurigram: Police have arrested Md Farid Hossain (46) and Indrajit Das (44), the main owners of the Rangpur divisional auto buying and selling syndicate, along with the recovery of stolen autos in Kurigram. The detained Farid Uddin is the son of deceased Azizar Rahman of Hokdanga Kumarpara village of Ulipur Upazila. And Indrajit Das is son of Bablu Das of Kamarpara Shiv Mandir area in Rangpur City. It is known that Kurigram Sadar police station SI Ziaur Rahman, SI A. Quader, ASI Ariful, ASI Sohag Parvez, ASI Milton conducted a raid with the help of Rangpur Metropolitan Police and arrested Indrajit, who was buying and selling stolen autos and according to the information given by him, a special raid was conducted in Rangpur city and Rangpur Metropolitan Satmatha was arrested. The stolen auto was recovered from the area. Later the notorious thief Md. Farid Hossain (46) of Hokodanga village of Ulipur was arrested. He said that several autos, including stolen autos, were being sold to Mr. Indrajit Das (44) of Rangpur City Corporation's Kamarpara Shiv Mandir area at different times. Superintendent of Police Al Asad Md. Mahfuzul Islam said that people from different districts of Bangladesh are involved in the auto thief gang. Special operations are continuing to nab the accused. Kurigram District Police is in strict position to eradicate any crime.
