Mamunar Rashid, Nilphamari: Bangladesh Awami League nominee Prashant Roy has won the Khokshabari Union Parishad election in Nilphamari. He got 4920 votes per boat. His closest ally was the independent candidate Ashfaudoula Siddiqui Khokon. He got 4116 votes for each pair of glasses. In addition, rival Masood Rana Masum got 2334 per telephone, Masud Rana Sabder got 280 per pineapple, Shashadhar Roy got 309 per table fan, Manjurul Islam got 122 per horse, Naimur Rahman of Islamic Movement got 225 per fan and Tahidul Islam got 1 per ticket. Panjak Kumar Roy got 1953 votes per autorickshaw. Returning Officer Aftab Uz Zaman said that out of 19,691 votes, 18,005 votes were cast.
