Man jailed for 5 years for trying to rape housewife in Manikganj

Shahjahan Biswas, Manikganj: In the case of attempted rape of a housewife in Manikganj, Md. Aziz and Rafe Badu were sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and fined Tk. The verdict was handed down by Begum Tania Kamal, a judge of the repression tribunal. The arrested Md. Aziz is the son of late Inaz Uddin Miah of Khalisha area of ​​Shibulia union of Shibalaya upazila. According to the details of the case, the housewife's husband used to stay in Dhaka for work. He used to come home on holidays. The housewife was at home with her son and daughter on the day of the incident. On the night of April 26, 2012, the housewife went to the bathroom at night to respond to the call of nature. The greedy lustful accused Md. Aziz grabbed the housewife, grabbed her by the hand and touched her various parts of her body and when she tried to rape him, the housewife screamed. Aziz, the man next door, threatened to kill the housewife and fled. Later, the housewife's husband did not file a case with the Shibalaya police station. The accused Md. Aziz and Rafe Badur were 35 years old at the time of the incident. The judge passed the verdict after taking the testimony of 8 people in the case and proving the allegations against the accused. AKM Nurul Huda PP was the lawyer for the state and Arif Hossain Liton was the lawyer for the accused.
