Publication of final results of 40th BCS, 1963 recommended

News Desk: Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the final results of the 40th BCS. One thousand 963 people have received recommendations in different cadres through this BCS.

The results were published on the PSC website on Wednesday (March 30) at noon.

PSC issued notification of 40th BCS on 11 September 2016. Preliminary examination is held on 3rd May next year. Three lakh 26 thousand candidates took part in it, although four lakh 12 thousand 532 people applied. The results of the preliminary examination were released on July 25, 2019. 20 thousand 26 people passed it.

The results of the written test were released on January 26, 2021. About half of the job seekers who survived the prelims were eliminated. 10,984 passed the oral examination.

A total of 1,903 cadres were recruited in this BCS. However, as a result, the number increased to one thousand 963.

According to the cadre, 200 people will be appointed in administration, 72 in police, 25 in foreign countries, 24 each, 32 in customs and excise and about 600 in education cadre.
