News Desk: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the Awami League will not be the last defense even after enacting a law to form a new Election Commission (EC).

He made the remarks at a discussion held at the National Press Club on Thursday (January 26th) on the occasion of "Black Day of Killing Democracy in Bakshal".

Mirza Fakhrul said the government has made a law to form an election commission. The Awami League will not be the last defense even if the law is formed to form the EC just as it was not saved by Bakshal.

Calling the government voterless, he said the illegitimate government has no jurisdiction to pass a law to set up a parliamentary election commission. It will not be acceptable to anyone.

"We are saying that there can be no election under Sheikh Hasina's government," he said. You resign. Resign and hand over power to a non-partisan, neutral government. They will discuss with all the political parties and decide how the election will be held.

Accusing the Awami League of lying for 24 hours, Mirza Fakhrul said, "Whenever the Awami League comes to power, it loots." Still looting.

Education Minister Dr. Mirza Fakhrul demanded immediate investigation into the allegations of corruption against Dipu Moni.

At the same time, he expressed his displeasure and said that nothing will happen in this. How many things happened in the name of the health minister, in the end nothing happened.

Expressing hope over the party's program, the BNP secretary general said, "People have come out of their houses where our program has taken place." We have to give a program so that the people get this government out of power.

The meeting was chaired by Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Member Secretary Aminul Haque and chaired by North BNP Convener Amanullah Aman. Among others, BNP Standing Committee members Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Mirza Abbas and Dhaka Metropolitan South convener Abdus Salam addressed the meeting.
