New potatoes in the market, 50 rupees per kg

News Desk: New potatoes have come in the market at the beginning of winter. However, the price is high. New potatoes are being sold at Tk 50 per kg in different markets of the capital. Besides new potatoes, supply of cauliflower, cabbage and beans has also increased in the market. However, prices of almost all types of vegetables remained unchanged during the week.

However, the price of eggs and chicken has decreased a bit. A search of various markets in the capital on Thursday night (December 2) revealed that traders were selling new potatoes at Rs 50 per kg. However, some traders are keeping 10 rupees less if someone takes 5 kg. And old potatoes are being sold at 25 rupees per kg as before. Caravan market trader said about the price of new potatoes. Alam said new potatoes have been coming in the market for a few days now. The price of this new potato is a little higher. After a few days the price will go down. Milon Sheikh, a trader from Malibagh Hajipara, said, “I have been selling new potatoes for 4-5 days. At first I sold 60 rupees per kg. I have been selling 50 rupees per kg for two days. In this way supply will increase and prices will decrease. Meanwhile, beans are being sold at 30 to 40 rupees per kg like last week.

However, the price of carrots has come down by Rs 20 per kg. Carrots, which were sold at Rs 60 per kg last week, are now available at Rs 80 per kg. Although the price of carrots has come down a bit, ripe tomatoes are being sold at the same high prices as before. Like last week, ripe tomatoes are being sold at 140 to 160 rupees per kg. And raw tomatoes are being sold at 40 to 50 rupees per kg. Prices of Patal, Barbati, Cauliflower and Cabbage remained unchanged during the week. Patal is being sold at 40 to 50 rupees per kg. Barbati is being sold for 50 to 60 rupees per kg. Cauliflower pieces are being sold at Rs 30 to 50 and cabbage pieces at Rs 30 to 40. Among the other vegetables on the price list that remain unchanged during the week, squid is being sold at Rs 40 to 50 per kg. Karala 60 to 70 rupees, Chichinga 40 to 50 rupees, glass art 30 to 35 rupees per hali, red spinach seeds 10 to 15 rupees, radish spinach seeds 10 to 15 rupees are being sold. And spinach seeds are being sold for 20 to 25 rupees. The price of chicken has come down a bit during the week. Traders are selling broiler chickens at Rs 150 to Rs 155 per kg, up from Rs 155 to Rs 160 last week.

Pakistani cock or golden chicken is being sold at 290 to 320 rupees per kg. Red layer chicken is being sold at Rs 220 to Rs 230 per kg, which was Rs 240 to Rs 250 last week. Although the price of chicken has remained unchanged, the price of egg has come down a bit. The farm's chicken eggs, which were sold at Rs 115 to Rs 120 a dozen last week, are now available at Rs 90. And a kg of onion is being sold at 50 to 60 rupees like last week. Turning to the fish market, it has been seen that Rui fish is being sold at 280 to 350 rupees per kg. Killed fish is being sold at the same price. Horn fish is being sold at 300 to 350 rupees per kg. Taki fish is being sold at the same price. Shoal fish is being sold for 500 to 600 rupees per kg.

Tilapia and pangasius fish are being sold at 150 to 160 rupees per kg. Hilsa fish weighing 1 to 1.5 kg is being sold at 1000 to 1200 rupees per kg. Small hilsa fish is being sold for 500 to 600 rupees per kg. Tube fish is being sold at 180 to 200 rupees per kg. Shrimp is being sold at 600 to 750 rupees per kg. The price of fish has not changed much during the week.
