Arrested with heroin weapons in Shampur of the capital

News Desk: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two drug dealers with firearms from Shampur in the capital. The arrested are Rana alias Pichchi Rana (32) and Md. Akash (20).

On Friday (October 15), a team of RAB-10 conducted a raid in Postagola area under Shampur police station and arrested them.

At that time, 100 grams of heroin worth Tk 10 lakh, 1 one shooter gun, 1 round of ammunition and 3 mobile phones were seized from them.

RAB-10 Assistant Director (Media) ASP Enayet Kabir Shoaib said the arrested were drug dealers by profession. It is learned that they have been supplying heroin and other drugs in different parts of the capital including Shampur for some time. He used to intimidate the people by displaying weapons in the area to disrupt the drug trade.

An arms case and a liquor case have been filed against them at the concerned police station.
