Hefazat's Amir Allama Junaid Babungari is no more

News Desk: Amir of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and Shaikhul Hadith Allama Junaid Babungari of Hathazari Madrasa has passed away. HM Junaid, the servant of Junaid Babungari, and his grandson Barkatullah Babungari have both confirmed the news.

HM Junaid said he died at 12:50 pm while undergoing treatment at CSCR Hospital in Chittagong.

Earlier, he was taken to the hospital around 11am today.

According to a source at Hathazari Madrasa, the physical condition of Babungari has been deteriorating since yesterday (Wednesday) evening. Today, around 11 o'clock, his physical condition suddenly deteriorated further. He was later taken to hospital.

Junaid Babungari was suffering from various diseases of old age including diabetes. He had been hospitalized several times before.

Junaid Babungari took the first dose of corona vaccine in a car in Chittagong's Hathazari upazila on August 6 at noon.
