Coronavirus: 6 more deaths in one day in Chittagong, 348 identified

News Desk: Six more people have died in Chittagong in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus infection. The total death toll in the district stood at one thousand 156 people. During the same period, 348 people were identified as Corona. The total number of identities in the district stood at 96,202.

The information came from a report released by the Chittagong Civil Surgeon's Office on Wednesday night (August 18).

Dr. Civil Surgeon. Rabbi Sheikh Fazle said that in the last 24 hours, samples of 2,592 people were tested in different labs of Chittagong and corona virus was detected in the bodies of 348 people. Of these, 202 are from the city and 148 from the upazila.

He added that in the last 24 hours, coronary infections were detected in 6 people in Chittagong University Lab, 36 people in Fauzdarhat BITID Lab, 60 people in Chittagong Medical College Lab, 54 people in Chittagong Veterinary University Lab, 19 people in Imperial Hospital Lab and 9 people in Chevron Hospital Lab.

At the same time, 14 people in Chittagong Maternal and Child Hospital Lab, three in General Hospital RTRL Lab, four in Medical Center Hospital Lab, 36 in Epic Health Care Lab, 20 in antigen test and six in Cox's Bazar Medical College Lab were diagnosed with corona.
