News Desk: Holy Ashura holiday has been rescheduled. The holiday has been changed to Friday (August 20) instead of Thursday (August 19). A notification in this regard has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (August 18).
According to the notification, the National Moon Sighting Committee has decided to reschedule the holiday from August 19 (Thursday) to August 20 (Friday).
It further states that the offices and agencies whose schedules and holidays are regulated by their own laws or whose offices, agencies and institutions have been declared as essential jobs by the government, shall be considered in the public interest in accordance with their respective laws and regulations.
