Another 221 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours

News Desk: In the last 24 hours (in one day), 221 people have been admitted to the hospital with dengue. Of these, 199 people have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the capital Dhaka and 22 people have been hospitalized outside Dhaka due to new cases of dengue.

This information was given in the regular dengue report of the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Monday (August 18) afternoon.

It has been said that in the last 24 hours (from 6 am on August 15 to 6 am on August 18), 221 new people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country. Among them, 199 new students have been admitted in Dhaka and 22 new angry students have been admitted outside Dhaka.

At present, the total number of patients admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country is 1,032. There are 972 people admitted in 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 60 people in other departments.

Earlier on Saturday (August 14), 256 people across the country were hospitalized with dengue in the previous 24 hours. Earlier, 211 people were admitted to the hospital on Friday (August 13), 242 on Thursday, 213 on Wednesday, 228 on Tuesday and 210 on Monday.

According to the report of the Department of Health, from January 1 this year to today (August 18), 7,321 people have been admitted to the hospital. Of them, 5,264 patients have returned home healthy.

Meanwhile, the Institute of Rheumatology, Anger Control and Research (IEDCR) of the Department of Health has reported 25 deaths due to dengue, but the IEDCR has not yet completed a review of the deaths and has not confirmed any deaths due to dengue.
