Mushfiqur is returning to the country without playing ODI T20

Sports Desk: Mushfiqur Rahim is returning home from Zimbabwe after playing a Test. The wicketkeeper-batsman will not play ODI and T20 series due to family reasons, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed in a press release.

Mushfiqur has asked for leave not to play in the Twenty20 tour of Zimbabwe, it was heard earlier. However, there were doubts whether the BCB would give him that leave or not.

Because the home series against Australia is ahead. Mushfiqur is likely to face quarantine complications in the series due to the difficult conditions of the Aussies. So Mushfiqur will also play in the T20 series in Zimbabwe after the ODIs, it was thought.

But now another thing was seen. Not only T20, the national team star cricketer is returning to the country without playing ODIs. He will leave Harare today (Wednesday) and catch a flight to Dhaka.

The BCB said in a press release that the board respects the personal needs of Mushfiqur and his family. So it was decided to give him leave.

Incidentally, the three-match ODI series is starting from July 16 in Harare. Then the three-match T20 series will be played at the same venue from July 23.
