News Desk:  Co-host United States has announced the 2024 T20 World Cup team. The biggest surprise of the team is former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson.

He left his native New Zealand and moved to the United States. Anderson made his international debut in the US jersey last month. And this time he made a place in the 15-member World Cup team of the United States.

Anderson played 93 matches in the New Zealand jersey between 2012 and 2018. He also played in three World Cups during this period. Two years after his debut in New Zealand jersey in 2012, he broke Shahid Afridi's record in 2014.

Anderson scored 131 off just 47 balls with 14 sixes in an ODI against the West Indies at Queenstown. He hit three figures in 36 balls. As a result, Afridi's 37-ball century record was broken. However, the former South African batsman AB de Villiers broke that record by scoring a century off 31 balls.

After retiring from New Zealand cricket, Anderson moved to the United States. He made his debut in the new team's jersey a month ago against Canada. He scored 28 and 55 runs in two matches respectively. He got a call to the World Cup team in the performance of these two matches.

Anderson is one of 19 players representing the two countries in the men's Twenty20. His new teammate Nitish Kumar has played 18 T20Is in Canada's jersey. At the age of 15, he played for Canada in the 2011 World Cup, which surprised him by playing ODIs. He was also the captain. This year he joined the USA team.
