Even today, there is a fear of Kalbaishakhi in several places of the country including the capital Dhaka

News Desk: After the Kalbaishakhi hit last night (Wednesday) in different parts of the country including the capital Dhaka, the storm may still hit several areas today (Thursday). There is a risk of a Kalbaishakhi storm at a speed of 45 to 60 kmph across the country. Besides, day and night temperatures will decrease across the country.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department confirmed the information in its forecast for the next 24 hours at 11 am on Thursday (April 22). According to the meteorological office, the swelling that has been going on for the last few days is likely to decrease.

Besides, there is a possibility of rain with the wind in almost all parts of the country. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours said that there may be temporary gusts or thundershowers in some parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and a couple of places in Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions.

Along with that there may be scattered hail somewhere. Meanwhile, mild to moderate flooding over Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions including Sitakunda, Rangamati, Noakhali, Feni, Moulvibazar, Rajshahi, and Pabna regions may be reduced. The next 24-hour temperature forecast says daytime temperatures across the country could drop by 1 to 3 degrees.

There is also a possibility of lowering the night temperature. Meanwhile, the weather forecast for the next 72 hours said that the temperature may rise towards the end of this period. In the synoptic state, it is said that the western light pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas. Its extension extends to the North Bay.
