News Desk: Five more people have died in Chittagong in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus infection. During this period, 293 people have been identified as infected with corona. The total death toll in the Chittagong district stood at 474 and the number of identified stood at 48,226.

Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said yesterday (Sunday) in different labs of Chittagong, 133 samples were tested and 293 people were found to have coronavirus. Of these, 249 are from the city and 44 from the Upazila.

It is learned that in the last 24 hours, 60 people in Chittagong University Lab, 45 people in Fauzdarhat BITID Lab, 52 people in Chittagong Medical College Lab, and 26 people in Chevron Hospital Lab were diagnosed with coronary heart disease.

At the same time, 51 coronary infections were detected in Imperial Hospital Lab, 19 in Agrabad Maternal and Child Hospital Lab, and 39 in General Hospital RTRL Lab. According to district administration sources, a mobile court led by several executive magistrates raided various places in Chittagong yesterday following a nationwide crackdown to prevent coronavirus infection.

A total of Tk 7,600 was recovered in 24 cases in these raids. At the same time, one thousand masks were also distributed for awareness. Besides, it is learned that mobile courts will be set up at different places in Chittagong to ensure the health and implement lockdown.
