News Desk: The government is rescheduling the holiday of Shabe Barat to March 30 instead of March 29. Tuesday (March 23) Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration (Rules) Abul Kashem. Mohiuddin gave this information. He said, ‘Shabe Barat holiday is mainly dependent on moon sighting. Since Shabe Barat is on March 29, the holiday will normally be on March 30 (Tuesday).

Earlier, it was scheduled for March 29 (Monday). File approval for rescheduling is now in progress. Once the file is approved, a notification will be issued in this regard. According to the 2021 holiday calendar, the official holiday of Shabe Barat was scheduled for March 29, starting from the month of Shaban.

Usually, the day after Shabe Barat is a public holiday. But this time Rajab month ends in 30 days and Shaban month starts on 16th March. As such, the night of Shabe Barat will be March 29. For this, the holiday of Shabe Barat has been rescheduled to March 30.

The day after Shabe Barat is a holiday in Bangladesh by executive order. At the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held at the Baitul Mukarram Conference Hall of the Islamic Foundation on the evening of March 14, after reviewing the information received from all district administrations, head offices, divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation, meteorological offices, and space research institutes, it was decided that The moon of the month was not seen. As such, the holy corpse will be commemorated on the night of March 29.
