The Prime Minister of Bhutan has arrived in Dhaka

News Desk: Bhutan's Prime Minister Lotte Shering has arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit to mark the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal (Rah.) Airport around 9:30 am on Tuesday (March 23). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was present at the airport to receive him in a state ceremony. The Guard of Honor was awarded with 21 song salutes in honor of the Prime Minister of Bhutan. According to diplomatic sources, two memorandums of understanding are also expected to be signed between the two countries during the visit.

Twenty-two artists and four journalists from the country's Royal Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) arrived in Dhaka on March 19 to accompany the Bhutanese Prime Minister. Foreign Ministry Chief of Protocol Amanur Rahman said, Bhutan's Prime Minister. Lotte Shering will take part in various events to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and the golden jubilee of independence.

During his visit to Bangladesh, bilateral issues will also be discussed. On the first day of the visit, the Prime Minister of Bhutan will pay homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar from the airport.

Then on Wednesday (March 24) at the National Parade Ground as a special guest of honor. Lotte Schering will be present. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the ten-day event on March 26.

In addition to the speeches and video messages of the heads of state or government of different countries, the ten-day event will also feature performances by cultural groups of friendly countries.
