News Desk: In some parts of the south-western part of the country, the temperature has been fluctuating to 36 degrees and above for several days. When the temperature rises to 36 degrees Celsius, a mild heat wave is declared.

Also on Saturday (March 20), temperatures were above 37 degrees Celsius in five regions. However, the Meteorological Department is still not announcing the heatwave. Meteorologists say the heatwave is yet to be announced due to low humidity and a rise in temperature. However, after March 23, the announcement of the heatwave may come. Jessore and Patuakhali's Khepupara recorded a maximum temperature of 36.6 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Besides, Faridpur recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius, Mongla 38.1 degrees Celsius and Chuadanga 36 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius have been recorded for several days, but meteorologist Omar Farooq said when asked why a mild heatwave was not being announced, "Humidity is involved. Humidity is low now.

High humidity increases the feeling of heat. And since the extra temperatures are in the same region, the heat flux is not declared. If the region continues to grow slowly we will declare a heatwave. The heat flux will not be declared until this condition occurs. The heatwave may be announced after March 23. Meanwhile, in the 24-hour forecast for the next 24 hours on Sunday (March 21), the Meteorological Department said that the weather across the country may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

Day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged. The meteorological office said the temperature may rise in the next three days. Most of the western light pressure is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in West Bengal and adjoining areas. The normal light pressure of the season is located in the South Bay.
