News Desk: On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day, the President paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On Wednesday morning, the President and later the Prime Minister paid homage to the Father of the Nation with flowers at the portrait of the Father of the Nation in front of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi No. 32 in the capital. Later, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid a wreath at the historic house No. 32 in Dhanmondi on the night of August 15, 1975. After laying a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu, the President and the Prime Minister paid homage to this great leader and stood there in silence for a while.

At this time, a well-equipped and smart contingent of the armed forces saluted the state and a sad tune was played on the bugle. At the time, among others, the youngest daughter and younger sister of Prime Minister Sheikh Rehana, Speaker.

Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury and Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain were present. After the wreath-laying, special prayers were offered for the souls of the great architect of independence Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the martyrs of 15 August. The prayers wished for the continuation, peace, prosperity, and progress of the country.
