Diplomatic Correspondent: Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani, paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh, Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, at the Police Headquarters in Dhaka on Wednesday morning.
During the cordial meeting, the Algerian Ambassador congratulated the newly appointed IGP. The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including irregular migration, human trafficking, and cooperation in various security-related areas, particularly in enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police.
The IGP welcomed Algeria’s interest in supporting the capacity building of Bangladesh Police and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the police forces of both countries.
Senior officials of Bangladesh Police were also present during the meeting. At the end of the discussion, both sides expressed hope for stronger and more productive cooperation in the future.
