Diplomatic Correspondent: The newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dinesh Trivedi, has formally presented his credentials to President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
The ceremony took place at Bangabhaban, where the High Commissioner called on the President and submitted his credential letter, according to a statement issued by Bangabhaban.
Former Indian Railway Minister and ex-Member of the Legislative Assembly from Barrackpore in West Bengal, Dinesh Trivedi, was appointed as India’s 18th High Commissioner to Bangladesh in April. He succeeds Pranay Verma in the post.
Following his appointment, Trivedi arrived in Bangladesh on June 12 through the Benapole land port, officially beginning his diplomatic assignment in the country.
